Salmon with Balsamic Maple Glaze from Dinner Tonight Submitted by Chris Newmark
1/4 cup grapefruit or orange juice 1/4 cup maple syrup 3 Tbsp. Balsamic vinegar 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil 4 Salmon steaks or fillets Salt and Pepper to taste
Preheat the broiler or grill. Combine the grapefruit or orange juice, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, and garlic in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring often for about 5 to 6 minutes or until the mixture has a glaze-like consistency. Stir in the oil and remove from heat. Season the salmon steaks or fillets with salt and pepper to taste and brush generously with maple syrup glaze. Broil or grill, basting often with the glaze until cooked through, approximately 10 minutes per inch of thickness.
